A spider lift, also known as a compact crawler boom lift or spider aerial work platform, is a lightweight and easy-to-use mobile elevating work platform (MEWP). It is specially built to work in narrow, tight and uneven areas where regular aerial lifts cannot reach. It features a slim foldable body, flexible tracked base and multi-leg support outriggers, delivering great accessibility and stability for all kinds of complex working environments.
The spider-style adjustable outriggers are the biggest difference between spider lifts and scissor lifts, truck-mounted boom lifts or standard crawler lifts. These independent outriggers can level the machine automatically on slopes, steps and uneven ground. Its narrow body can easily pass through standard doors, indoor corridors and tight construction gaps.
